The Simcoe County Dental Hygienists' Society is a society of dental hygienists spanning all of Simcoe County, Muskoka and Parry Sound. The SCDHS provides its members with up-to-date information pertaining to their profession, including mailed newsletters. The society has been active for approximately 22 years.

The SCDHS consists of 9 members: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, continuing education liaison, newsletter editor, Georgian College liaison, (ex officio members: ODHA ambassador & ODHA liaison)

To enhance the personal and professional wellness of the Dental Hygienists of Simcoe County

• To provide continuous learning and professional development opportunities for its members
• To maintain close relations with Georgian College and students of the dental programs
• To provide and promote collaboration among all dental and other health professionals in a complimentary relationship for the promotion of overall wellness
• To provide networking opportunities, support, information sharing and opportunities to stay current within the profession of Dental Hygiene
• To be active in the community through involvement in local events.
• To help educate the public of the importance of not just oral health and wellness, but of overall wellness.
