TOUR THE IMAGE DENTAL LAB

Ali will give us a detailed look into their laboratory and provide a workshop where we can explore the different departments. We will see a variety of things that happen at the lab as theywalk us through the fabrication of crowns, dentures, veneers etc.

 
 
VELSCOPE & ORAL CANCER SCREENING

The performance of a comprehensive extraoral and intraoral examination is one of the most critical components of a routine dental hygiene assessment in yet is so highly overlooked.   The medical and dental communities have been alerted of an emergence of an atypical profile that has become the fastest growing population of newly diagnosed oral cancer victims. No longer can we look toward the typical profile related to age, smoking and alcohol consumption. 
Joanne will lead us in discovering how leaders of innovative technology have aided our profession in early discovery of mucosal abnormalities through an enhanced screening capability.

Celiac Disease

Celiac Disease is a lifelong, digestive disorder affecting children and adults. Contact with products containing gluten can create a toxic reaction that damages the small intestine and does not allow proper food absorption. Patients afflicted with Celiac Disease may also present with oral manifestations of the disease including enamel defects, apthous ulcers, glossitis, dry mouth and even Squamous Carcinomas of the pharynx and mouth. You can’t afford to miss this presentation.
